| 17 April 2008 76% of employees throughout Europe see the environmental friendliness of a product as an important factor when buying technical equipment. However, around 88% feel only partly or not at all informed as to the environ¬mental impact of the products they buy whether for business or private use. Two out of three employees also see environmentally-certificated equipment like printers, copiers and PCs as a sensible purchase when companies want to be more environment-conscious. |

| 09 April 2008 Kyocera Mita Europe today announced that all of its own sales subsidiaries in Europe and South Africa have acquired ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for Environmental Management Systems. It enables organisations to develop and implement its policy and objectives, ensure compliance with environmental legislations and implement a programme of continuous improvement. In obtaining certification to ISO 14001, Kyocera Mita’s European operation can show that its working practices and processes have been verified by third-party auditing. |
